Guy gets glasses tattooed on his face

guy gets glasses tattooed on his face

I came across an article and video about this guy, Matthew, getting Ray-Bans tattooed on his face. Tjongolongo, how weird is that. As you can imagine, the video has become viral lately. Tjongolongo, how on earth could you get someone to do something as ridiculous as this. I hope he got some good money out of it, but still, no amount of money could be worth glasses tattooed on your face could it?

No Pants! Subway Ride 2010 goes around the world and viral in one day

no pants subway ride 2010, improv everywhere

very year in January Improv Everywhere stages the No Pants! Subway Ride in New York City. This year the ninth ride took place on January 10, 2010. Next to organising it in New York City the organisation also encourages people in other cities around the world to stage their own ride on the same day. The idea is simple, get a bunch of people, or as Improv Everywhere calls them ‘undercover agents’ to ride the subway without any pants on!

Incredibly creative Social Media campaign on Facebook by IKEA

I came across this very cool use of Facebook by IKEA. So cool, yet so simple. What IKEA did was the following.
1. Open a new store (Malmo, Sweden)
2. Create a Facebook profile page for the store manager Gordon Gustavsson.
3. Upload images from the IKEA showrooms
4. Tell everybody that the first person to tag their name to a product in the pictures wins the product!

Very creepy soap commercial

I came across this very funny but creepy soap commercial today and the first thing I thought was Tjongolongo! how cool is that! It’s a video about the cleaning product you use in your house and what’s inside them. The video is from peopleagainsdirty.com, they feel that everyone has the right to know what’s inside the cleaners you use and they are trying to get the Household Product Labelling Act approved.

The people over at the thefuntheory.com have done it again. After last month’s World’s Deepest Bin and the Piano Staircase, they have now come up with the Bottle Bank Arcade Machine. They noticed that fewer people are recycling glass nowadays. To make it more fun for people to recycle their glass they decided to make a game out of it.

Grocery Store Musical and more viral videos

grocery store musical, imrov everywhere

The people of Improv Everywhere finally did it, they made a follow up to their Food Court Musical. For this mission the location was a grocery store, six undercover actors burst into song in a grocery store accompanied of course the necessary silly choreography. I am a real fan of Improv Everywhere, ever since I first saw the Food Court Musical and Frozen Grand Central. I think I’ve seen about all of their missions.

When Social Media meets art

social media, art, david hoang

That’s when you a get an exhibition of phrases said on Twitter that are made into drawings. The artist that does all this is David Hoang a non chocolate liking artist who describes himself as two parts cultural ecologist, one part DJ. When he looks at the phrases said in a Tweet he is inspired to draw a picture.

A piano staircase or an escalator, which would you choose?

piano, stair, escalator

If we make taking the stairs more fun will more people choose it over the escalator? That’s a question the people at thefuntheory.com (an initiative of Volkswagen) asked themselves. They are trying to see if they can get people to change their behaviour for the better by making them have fun. The videos they made for this project are spreading quickly all over the web.
