Cheap Dutch retailer goes undercover at Amsterdam International Fashion Week

Two weeks ago Dutch retailer Zeeman stunned many fashion gurus by going undercover at Amsterdam International Fashion Week.

They created a fake brand called ‘Frank’ and put on a show at the fashion week. Before fashion week even started they already ‘teased’ everyone in the industry about this new and exciting brand. They basically did everything they could do to create rumor around the brand.

Before the show and during the show everyone was excited, so imagine the look on their faces when at the end of the show the cheap retailers yellow and blue logo ‘Zeeman’ was shown on the big screen!

Facebook Messages: A privacy nightmare or the future of messaging?

Last Monday Facebook announced a new messaging system. They say its a new evolution of Messages.

The new service combines SMS, chat, e-mail and Messages. You decide how you want to talk to your friends. Which ever form of communication you choose, it can all be managed from your Facebook account. You can decide from who you would like to receive information as well. If you don’t want someone to be able to sent you information you can just block them.

SuitSupply’s latest ‘Shameless’ campaign banned from Facebook

Dutch clothing company SuitSupply has launched yet another provocative campaign. This time they caused a stirr with its advertising campaign ‘Shameless’

And shameless it is indeed! The ads basically present a bunch of guys in nice suits doing all kind of shameless things to women.

Yet another Old Spice spoof

In case you missed it, you probably haven’t been online for the last few months, but the Old Spice Guy ‘The Man Your Man Could Smell Like’ campaign is one of the most successful online viral campaigns to date.

With great success comes multiple parodies. That’s exactly what happened with the Old Spice campaign. After the campaign became such a success the parodies kept popping up.

One of the first parodies I saw was a failed one by Cisco. Since that one, many more have popped up. Since I keep seeing more and more of the Old Spice related videos pop-up I decide to share the two latest ones with you.

Disney embraces Social Media to create Disney Memories

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts started a new campaign that focuses on all the fun memories people have of their visit to Disney World or Disneyland.

With this campaign Disney hope’s to remind people of the good times they’ve had when visiting one of the Disney theme parks.

London-based fashion company CuteCircuit has designed the M-Dress (Mobile Phone Dress), a little black dress that doubles as a mobile phone and lets wearers make and receive calls.

The dress is rigged up with gesture recognition software which allows users to pick up a call by raising their hand to their ear. When finished with the phone call users can just drop their hand down again and the call will end.

The Old Spice Man is a social media marketing campaign created for Old Spice by ad agency Wieden + Kennedy and stars actor Isaiah Mustafa.
